Hi! I'm Jen. I’m a writer, editor, and all-around word nerd with a penchant for impeccable grammar and passion for seamless communication. I’m a huge believer in writing for the intended target audience, and pride myself on my chameleon-like ability to do so successfully. I love food, cats, anything related to Disney or Harry Potter, the ’90s, horror movies, running (sometimes), Netflix, and watching/playing along with the Scripps National Spelling Bee the way most respectable Americans enjoy the Super Bowl.

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in technical writing and a minor in magazine journalism. I have worked full-time as a technical writer for the most part since 2007, and have been taking freelance content work of all types since 2013. I’ve dabbled in many types of writing, including but not limited to instructional, creative, and editorial. I’ve written and edited content from reference & procedure manuals for Publix Super Markets to reviews of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios and everything between. To date, I’m most proud of being a regular contributor at HelloGiggles and xoJane and editing a novel that made the New York Times Best Sellers list in 2014.

Language is my forté, and the written word is my chosen execution method. I’m a Jane of All Trades with my writing and editing, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”

– Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
